One
of the many exciting news items at the home office is Meadowbrook's move to the company's permanent location
at ChampionsGate, near Orlando. Meadowbrook is relocating from the client leased space in Lakeland, Florida,
to an office building at the new ChampionsGate.
Groundbreaking took place during the last week of February with an expected substantial completion date
of September 7, 2001. The building construction is currently on or ahead of schedule. All framing and
electrical wiring is in place and the contractors are currently working on the interior dry wall.
The move will take place September 27 to September 30. The home office will be closed on these days for
the relocation. The new office building has 3 floors with a total of 49,225 square feet. Meadowbrook will
occupy 26,249 square feet on the first and second floors. In addition to office space, the new building
will feature a 500 square foot training room with a television, presentation screen and computers, a 453
square foot presentation room with kiosks that will display information about Meadowbrook's various divisions
and resources, plus a 470 square foot conference room.
"Meadowbrook has had a unique opportunity to create a special business environment with state of
the art technology, design and systems, all focused on successful golf operations, maintenance and development,"
states President and CEO Ron Jackson. "Meadowbrook is taking an increasingly stronger business leadership
role in the industry and the ChampionsGate headquarters reflect that development."
