Cathy Jo Johnson, who has managed Silver Spring Country Club since 1998, has been promoted to Meadowbrook's Midwest Regional Vice President, following the departure of Jack Gaudion on June 15,2001.

Cathy Jo's accomplishments have been numerous and the year 2000 proved to be an award-winning banner year for her. She was named the LPGA's National "Professional of the Year" for 2000. In addition to earning the LPGA's highest award, Cathy Jo was named Meadowbrook's National "General Manager of the Year" and the Milwaukee Journal also named her as one of the top 10 minority golf leaders in Wisconsin.

With the promotion of Cathy Jo, David Bressler has accepted the position of General Manager of SSCC. David joined Silver Spring in May of 1998 when he assumed the role of Assistant General Manager/Food and Beverage Director. Prior to joining the SSCC team he was the General Manager of Sheraton Atlantic Beach and had a long history in the hotel business.

As David moves up so will his team. Richard Schneller, Golf Professional, has accepted a larger role including food and beverage duties as Assistant General Manager. Robyn Blake, Catering Manager will step in the Food and Beverage Manager's role, and Christine Gullo, Administrative Assistant, will become an evening manager.

This team should be very proud they have cross trained within so it is unnecessary to go outside of Silver Spring to fill the open management positions.
